Huh Im sick and tired of my desktop now.
It used to hand a lot and Blue Screens were a regular thing. My computer vendor advised my to change my RAM because my old one had defective and burnt circuits.
I did that, bought a new DDR400 512MB RAM, but still no help.
My system hangs frequently with a blue screen. And half the time it just gets stuck and then restarts.
The blue screen message I get is are of two kinds
1. KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR
STOP: 0X00000077 (0XC000000E, 0XC000000E, 0X00000000, 0X01B51000, 0X24A2000)
2. KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
STOP: 0X0000007A (0XC03E054, 0XC000000E, 0XF8395384, 0X05679860)
atapi.sys - Address F8395384 base at F8388000 DateStamp 4110764d
The number in bracets may vary but usually its the one given.
I googled all the messages but the the information on the internet is retty irrelevant. Please help me its causing me a lot of problems.
PLEASE HELP ME.

You could have a motherboard that no longer works properly, amoung other things. These error messages mean there is something defective in your hardware. Maybe certain drivers are conflicting and causing problems.
My biggest fear is that your HDD is ruined. But, narrow down the problems by:
1. Backup your data.
2. Reinstall Windows.
OR:
you can check out this article by Microsoft about your problem:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315266
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/reskit/w2000Msgs/6094.mspx?mfr=true
Good luck!
PS: I know this error message, generally, is fixable. I had a Dell Dem 4600 awhile ago that flooded me with those messages after I added on hardware stuff. I reinstalled Windows and it took care of everything for me. I was told by someone at Dell not to be so "driver update eager and happy" because the more stuff you have to bloat your HDDs, registry, the more problems you'll have over time. -
Do you get sounds from your HDD that sound something like a clock? Or a rattle?
-
yes i do get sounds from my HDD
and yes i tried reinstalling windows and updating drivers but no help whatsoever -
Then it is most likely (someone confirm this) your HDD that is need of replacing, sorry for the bad news. Back up your data and go to www.newegg.com and find yourself a new HDD. I'm almost certain this will fix your problem. Have you ran any HDD diagnostic's?
Try your best to describe the sounds you hear from the HDD. Does it ever sound like scraping against metal/plastic? Have you checked the cables to make sure they are secure/free of dust? I don't know this really sucks for you but your best bet is a new HDD. -
its something is a tatatatatattatattat
sumthing like that
and yes about the diagnostics i downloaded them but all of them required you to have a floppy drive so i cudnt use them
do you know any which sort of has a windows interface?? -
yeah... sounds coming from the hard drive in clicking sounds is never ever good. well at least regular ones and especially if you never heard them before. My recommendation would be to buy a new hard drive and try that.
Then, in an attempt to get your old data, buy a notebook hard drive enclosure put that in and see if the enclosure can read your data. If it can, sweet! use it as a portable hard drive or reformat it from the enclosure and try reformatting using that hard drive again. -
Yea sounds like a HDD failure... I had it happen to me a few times... the "clicking" noises when its completely quiet, even when I'm not doing anything, led to a bunch of blue screens and to the point where reformats were no longer working (and taking way too long).

That really sucks but thankfully a new HDD is not too expensive these days. Glad it wasn't the motherboard!
-
hmmm........how much does a SATA hard disk cost??
Installed New RAM but still no help!!!
