If I bought my RAM through a store or on the internet and decided to install it myself would this void the warranty? or should I just let the ASUS people do it?

    Hey Bwen,

It is just so easy to install the RAM, to let others do it will just incresase the costs. I dont know if it void warranty, but I dont think it voids warranty.

    Not 100% sure tough.

    Charlie :)

you must do the right way without any physical damage, it would void the warranty. Make sure you know that all the location of memory. May be all the 2 slots on the bottom, or one slot under the keyboard.

I recently talked to a dell rep and he said that I could buy the ram from Dell, but if I knew anything about computers then I should install it my self. He did say if I did damage while installing it than that would void warranty. If you accidently damage your computer in anyway, it voids warranty. Unless you have some type of accidental damage plan.

So for my E1505 it does NOT void. Call ASUS just like I called Dell.
