Is there a difference in which manufacturer? Any suggestions?

I want to install more ram in my Fujitsu Lifebook s7110.
Has 1G now, upgradable to 4.

I read alot about it will only show around 3G if I install 2x2G
Want to get the best for the money in the end.

Kingstan, Crucial, etc????? Which to buy?
    Thanks in advance

Pretty much any should do as long as they have life time warranties. Most ram is actually made by samsung, hynix, qimonda and a few other companies and as such most ram is the same from one manufacturer to another.

sszero is right. They all will do the job. Personally, I have had great experiences with PNY Industries...

I generally go with Corsair or Crucial, cause they tend to use the higher performance micron memory chips, and all of their memory is tested before shipping, which is a nice thing.
Sometimes cheaping out on memory is bad, since most memory manufacturers will not test every memory card. Larger brands like Corsair and Crucial test most of their memory cards and design their memory to be compatible with more systems.

    I will check them out.
Corsair has these value select memory kits ie: 2X(x), does tht mean it is because they are a pack of 2 but same quality?
Looks like memory is very reasonable, if I shop around.

K-T I carefully read what those company's do and don't test 6 months ago. You may be mistaken. They test all the configurations and some other verbiage. When you read carefully they in noway test all. That is an illusion. I will consider researching again and PMing you if I have the time this weekend. May main point is you are overstating a little bit.

All companies have QC and all companies profit more from less defective RAM. Those companies you mention simply have a marketing department that makes them look like they do so much more. I try and avoid marketing department statements when dealing with technology. As the only people who know less than someone who knows nothing about technology. Are people in marketing departments.

Still looking for the best price on the better ones of course.
Undecided on whick ones to buy.
Looks like the most we have locally is kingston. Maybe PNY
If I go crucial I think I have to order but maybe it would recommended to go that route? Ths shipping is always a killer.
There were a lot of good sales last week

You need a 64-bit operating system in order to address more than 3.5GB of RAM. To run a x64 OS, you need a 64-bit license and 64-bit capable CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo and up, all mobile AMD CPUs with exception of Semprom).
