its tricky on the E1405, one of the RAM slots is easy to get to, on the bottom, but the other one is underneath the keyboard

    no.

it's very very very very easy.

you can do the whole project in about 5 mins, maybe 7. even if you don't know what you're doing.

and it's very hard to screw up because only the correct type of ram will fit in the slot.

With most laptos, this is how it's done.
    1. Power off and remove power cable and battery.
    2. Ground yourself.
    3. Unscrew ram cover.
    4. Align pins and insert new ram at 45 degree angle.
    5. Press down and it should lock into place.
    6. Close cover and screw.
    7. This one is optional, test overnight eith memtest.

    Hope this helps.

With most desktops I can upgrade the ram in less than 10 minutes, on a laptop, less than 5. Its that easy. The difference between a laptop and a desktop is the size. So unless you have Shrek size fingers you will find it easy. Just be sure that your well informed and have the correct part. GL

    Code:
    How do you ground yourself?
Just touch a metal object to discharge static electricity. Some people use a grounding strap. Discharging static electricity that you might have built up is important because it can damage your computer parts.
