Hey,
I recently purchased a Lenovo Y50 and decided to upgrade the HDD to an SSD myself. Is this model compatible with the system: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S37A/120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - Newegg.com
The number of the model I purchased (of the Lenovo) was) 59418266.
Can you please send me a video on how to do this as well? (I'm a noob)
Thanks bros

Yes, though that's a terrible SSD to use (way too slow, even for budget SSD standards). Personally, I'd go for something from Crucial, Samsung, Intel, or the SanDisk Extreme II.
Google has dozens and dozens of SSD install guides. It all boils down to:
1) Protect yourself from static electricity (ground yourself)
2) Take out the stock HDD
3) Install SSD
4) Install OS/programs/etc. -
I recommend you go for a Samsung Evo. Now that the 850 series is out , the price of the 840 should have dropped a bit. I got the 840 Evo 250GB for my laptop. You can easily find on youtube guides on how to installing SSD on your laptop.
IMO you should also fork out some more $$$ and go for higher capacity SSD's. In the case of the Evo for example, there is quite a difference in performance between the 120GB and 250GB versions. All versions higher than 250GB have the same capacity.
