    Ultrabook

I was looking into this and my only gripe so far is the non-backlit keyboard. Is there anyway i could install my own and make it compatible?

If the laptop doesn't have some version with a backlit keyboard, there is nothing you can do about that. The best you can do is use glow in the dark keyboard stickers. They aren't as bad as they sound.

If they offer a backlit keyboard as an option then it may be possible. Otherwise it will need a power source and that's not possible.

Nope. Absolutely not. If you're asking whether or not its possible, thats a different story, but unless the same model/motherboard was offered with backlit keyboards, no way is it going to be as easy as you want it to be.

Niff is right. The motherboard, ribbon connector, and keyboard all have to accomodate a little extra hardware to get power to that backlit keyboard. Unless the computer is offered with a backlit keyboard and you can get said keyboard from the vendor, you're out of luck.
