I was wondering if it is possible to open up my external hard drive and install it into my laptop. It is 2.5", just something that I was wondering.

There's only one internal 9.5mm 1TB drive on Newegg, and it's a Toshiba. If Seagate's not selling them as internal drives, it's highly unlikely that they're putting such small form-factor TB disks in external enclosures. If your computer can fit a 12.5mm drive and your Seagate isn't controlled by some specialized external HDD controller, then it might work. You can always give it a try, though that might not be a good idea unless you know you can put it back together as an external...

Do not think it is worth the risk...Plus that you have to check if your internal disk will fit into the external enclosure that you will have!
