I would like to stick with Intel for a SSD but only need around 160-180GB SSD. I know they have some SATA II drives but I don't want to invest money into old technology. I saw currently they are offering a 120GB version and a 250GB. The 120GB version is too small and I wont need the 250GB one and plus its more money than I need to spend right now.

If anyone could fill me in on what Intel might release and when as far as different storage variations in SATA III it would be much appreciated.

    - Thanks

How much does a SATA2 drive vs. SATA3 drive differs in real life performance? For example how many seconds do they need to boot up an identical system? If these differences are negligible you can still get a SATA2 device.

Forget about the weird sequential read speed tests which makes mostly no sense...
