Ok, I did a search and did not find this already posted (granted... the search function on this site is "iffy" at best) so I thought I would give it a go....

PC Perspective - Intel 510 Series 250GB SATA 6G Solid State Drive Review

I was reading this article on the new Intel 510 250GB SSD something I am (was?) considering buying and saw this.

Just thought I would put it out there for discussion and general who-da-thunk-it

Just read over at Anandtech that Intel may offer Sandforce drives soon as well...

I wonder if thats what the April release G3s will have onboard.

I sure hope not. Intel knows what they are doing with their SSD's. They should make it all their own like the G1 and G2's.

hmmm the part I didn't like about the 510 was the power consumption has double from G2 SSD's.

SandForce knows what there doing too. my Agility 2 is incredibly fast, and it may be much cheaper for intel to buy controllers than to build there own.
