Atom, no questions asked. Better performance, lower power consumption.

clock to clock the Celeron is faster, but since the Atom run at 1.6ghz and the Celeron at 600mhz, then the atom is slightly faster.

The Celeron only run at 600mhz when underclocked, its true speed is 900mhz and it is slightly more powerful than the atom running at 1.6ghz but the power consumption is bad compared to the atom so guess Atom is the perfect compromise.

Atom N270 consumes less power than the Celeron M 353

The Asus Eee 1000H and 1000HD have all the same options except the processors:

    Eee PC 1000H, Intel® Atom N270
Battery life with XP: 7 hrs

    Eee PC 1000HD, Intel® Celeron M 353
Battery life with XP: 5.4 hrs
