I installed an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 on laptop with and Intel GL40 Chipset. I'm using as RAM one module of DDR2 PC6400. I don't understand why the RAM is downclocked to 667MHz.
Isn't the GL40 supposed to support the PC6400? Isn't it supposed to run it at 800MHZ (i.e. FSB/DRAM divider 1:2 instead of 3:5)?

I tried with three hynix stiks with the same specs. Could it be that the laptop doesn't like hynix RAM?
