Which processor is better in terms of speed and overall performance?
And then, which is better - Intel Celeron M 380 1.6GHz vs. Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz? Thanks :)

The P4 2.8ghz will give better performance than the Celeron M 380.

The Celeron M 380 will perform about on par with a P4 2.4ghz.

The Celeron M is essentially an older Pentium M processor with half the cache (1MB), plus it is lacking Intel's SpeedStep technology. Clockspeed is for the most part irrelevant these days; the GHz wars are no more.

I'd say that is a good comparison.
