    Hi all,

Could you let me know whether the Intel Celeron M 900 is possible to receive (i.e. not transmit) Skype HD via version 5?

Please assume I have a fast enough broadband connection. I don't want to transmit video but want to be able to receive video from another computer which has HD camera.

    Thanks all.

It is questionable. Skype HD is a resource hog, but I'm unsure about just the receiving end.

Hi tilleroftheearth, yes that's the CPU that is very common for very cheap laptops. I wanted to get a really cheap laptop to be able to receive Skype HD but wasn't sure whether it can received Skype 720HD as I was planning to invest in better broadband with the money.

It might work a tad better in a Linux environment.... for example Ubuntu netbook edition
