Do you anticipate a class action law suit because of it?

God I hope not. Class actions ruin the economy - the lawyers get rich, everyone else gets a 10 dollar coupon, the companies hike up the prices to cover losing money, and laptops get more expensive. It's lose-lose, except for the lawyers.

It would be just like the old style TVs. Just about all of them whine but no complaints that I know of.

If this CPU whine thing has been going on as long as some of the posts I've read have claimed... then, if there was to be a lawsuit, it would have already happened. So no, I don't think there will be one.

    ?
There is a known issue of Core 2 Duo "whine". Many topics around here have talked about it.

I don't see why there would be. I honestly think people get worked up too much over it. Mine whines too, and while it is noticeable, it isn't really a big deal. I much rather having power saving features of the chip and some whine rather than having the thing run @ max clocks all the time. Plus, there are things you can do to remedy the issue. Just my two cents. :)

Hmm.. ok, i think i understand from this article. But to have the Core 2 Duo whine that badly, it sure is heartbreaking to me.

I am thankful i do not have this problem on my Asus. :)

Yeah it's not really that bad on my Sager either.
I doubt there would be a lawsuit on this.
