Very nice. The E6400 keeps up with the AMD quite admriably considering it's less than 1/4 the price. It even beat it out in multi-threaded apps. Quite amazing. I'd say the E6400 or the E6600 is the way to go unless you just need a lot of power from the Extreme.

I regretfully say that I am sorely let down by AMD's new AM2 processors thus far as compared to the Core 2 Duo - I mean, at under $200, the E6400 is a beast while still being a better value than just about anything you can throw at it, Netburst Intel or AMD.

So I regret to say that I may be forced to defect to Intel for my next desktop - unless AMD can pull down something miraculous by this time next year.
