Hi, should i turn on Deep Power Down in my bios. I heard it saves battery life but does it affect the performance of the laptop? (lg P300)

I think that's a power saving feature which shouldn't affect your performance.

If your talking about C4 sleep state, i suggest you keep it on unless your CPU is make the annoying whine noise.

What a ridiculous marketing term. I suppose that as the power management improves, they'll call it "really deep power down" or (my favourite) " extreme (!) power down."

Deep Power Down is a new feature on the mobile penryn chips. It actually goes into a lower power saving state than C4. i am just wonder if any of you guys used it because it seems like no one discuss about it on the forum
