Can anyone tell me the difference between the Intel GMA 4500M and 4500MHD?
The 4500M seems to be used mainly on entry-level notebooks. It seems that it's usually part of the Intel GL40 chipset (vs. GM45).
I'm assuming that the 'HD' indicates that the 4500MHD has HD video decoding capability (and the 4500M doesn't). Are there other differences?
Any additional insight will be appreciated!![]()

Take a look at this reference page - the differences aren't too significant, from what I can tell.

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
That's just for the desktop variants though. There's a Wiki page listing the features of the mobile variants:

Next to the differences in their HD decoding capabilities, it seems that the only other variation is in clock speed? -

H.264 runs on GL40. So the biggest differences are the core clock and the lack of more advanced power management.
