Hi Guys,
Hot news!
Quote from news article:
"Ivy Bridge seems to be moving away from us every time we get closer Intel has reportedly told its partners that their next generation desktop CPUs wont be hitting the market in March-April as previously thought, but instead will come out some time in Q2 2012."
And the source:
Desktop Ivy Bridge processors reportedly getting delayed again, this time until Q2 2012

This article is about Desktop CPUs (which does affect things like the Clevo P270WM laptop, but other laptops not necessarily so).
In regards to other IVB mobile CPUs, a quote from that article: -
Well, might get affected after all...
I mean could it be that they would release the mobile version before the desktop?? -
It probably will get delayed but delaying it might be a good thing... reaching the 16nm barrier... We might want to slow down a bit...
-
Desktop parts usually get released before mobile parts, if desktop development has slowed then it's unlikely you'll see the mobile parts for a while.
Also, intel most likely won't release 16nm before 22nm since they can make more money doing it incrementally. -
Ah, April *is* Q2........
How is this hot news or even an ouch? -
Star Forge Quaggan's Creed Redux!
Agreed. It was already determined that it was going to be an April release anyways. A friend of mine whose stepmom works for Intel confirmed a tentative April release. Not really a delay to be honest. -
nononono....
Re-read the article, it says " WON"T be hitting the market in March-April as previously thought"
Come on guys, I don't have to write it in BOLD RED for you to understand it! (>_<)!
In other word, it wont be release end of Q1 (which is months 3>4) but instead around end of Q2 (which is 6>7)!!!
kapish? -
All other sites say second quarter and all of them say April 2012 which is in Q2. July is not Q2
Ivy was supposed to release in March but was postponed to April. That is the last thing I heard. -
I meant ending of Q2 to Q3
-
The article you quoted still says Q2.
-
Well with AMD not really competing they extend the live of current ones.
-
Q2 release doesn't mean June-July. April is solidly Q2. And when companies say something will be released a certain quarter, it is most usually in the first month of that quarter. Also you are quoting some blog and calling it a news article, which it most certainly is not. The author is dumb and contradicted himself to make some sensational headline and you are gobbling it up. Are we clear now?
