    I had been doing research on new laptop processers recently and came across the new Intel Merom processor for Laptops....Supposedly it is a duo core processer that will have the capability of running at 3.8GHz with out sacraficing battery life....what are your thoughts and opinions on the new processor

    I am sorry, but I think you are mistaken. Because the Merom is almost exactly the same thing as the Yonah except they are 64-bit. The one that you are talking about is the Merom for the desktop.

    on a side note: there is no such thing as Merom for desktop, it's called Conroe
