    2 things:

    I have to have a 13.3inch
I have to have a brand new laptop

So as i am reading more and more heat and crash issues with the Dell1340, i am having second thoughts.

Probably will upgrade the old HP i started out with,
    Will get:
    P8700,
    320Gb 7200rpm,
    4Gb RAM
    6+9 cell Battery
    All for $770

Will forget about playing games until I buy a laptop dedicated only for games :), as i cannot have all i want in my budget and the laptop size i am looking for.

You said the Dell from Bestbuy might be sold as refurbished, so i replied saying that it was a brand new piece.

well if u don't mind look a little more for an asus G50 or G51 on bestbuy and you should get it in between 700-900 bucks. BTW 13.3 inch screen is small and you'll nver get a gaming laptop for that size. just buy a 15.4 inch screen laptop like the asus and u'll not have to wait to play comp games. You need a 14 inch laptop minimum to play games. There's a samsung one with 9600M GT like mine but it's expensive. Trust me go for an ASUS G50 or G51 and u won't regret it. I has got to be the best bugget gaming laptop.

hey man, you're paying +$100 for that 7200rpm HDD, if you just stick with the 5400rpm that will save you $100! if you go with the p7550 processor instead of the p8700, that's another $100!

take that $200, and spend the $150 for the 105m GPU, and send me the other $50.

(by the way, which coupon code are you using to get that dv3t so cheap?)

trust me asus is better. Also whether your gonna get an asus or hp get a notebook cooling pad. Both have heat problems. See if the bestbuy guys add it in when u buy the laptop. if u get the asus, you'll nver regret it. I regret getting the hp as it has low quality stuff inside(my 9600M GT is DDR 2 memory while asus will give you GDDR3.)

You wont believe what i did :p
I went to BB, saw that the G51 was $1050
Went back home as i was looking for the 800-900 range.

Then tried my luck with Sony
    Finally ordered this:
    Intel P8700
    Chocolate Brown
    4GB RAM
    320GB @ 7200 rpm
    Blu-ray playback/burning
    1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650
    FullHD (1920x1080) screen

    Pros:
    - Has decent graphics and a BlueRay writer
    - 1080p

    Cons:
    Its Huge
Started out my LT buying adventure to get a 13.3 and ended up with this Mammoth (Blame my girlfriend)
Over my budget, but my girl is super happy :)
