    It may....if they include a BIOS update with Penryn, and if the proc isn't soldered to the board.

    Has it been confirmed that Penryn is drop in compatible with current 965M boards? Last I heard (about a month and a half ago) there were serious problems concerning that sort of upgrade.

    It will fit physically (same socket P) but it all depends on whether or not Toshiba will release a BIOS upgrade to support Penryns. And I don't think you'll have to worry about the cpu being soldered. Pretty much all cpus are socketed and easily taken out. Only ultra-portables with LV processors are the ones that usually have soldered cpus.

    Not if the Penryn processors require a new VRM. If that's the case, then it would take much more than a BIOS upgrade to support the Penryn processor.

    Physically they are mostly PGA but are also BGA so double check.

    Hows it goin? Quick question! Do all T9300 cpu's have Hafnium technology or??? I assume they do? I ask cuz they now mention it on Sony.com. Maybe I didnt see it before I dunno. Thanks guys!
