Right now I have a dell computer with Intel Pentium 2.4GHz.
I am planning to get a dell laptop with a 1.66 GHz Core duo processor.
Assuming everything else was the same, how much slower is the laptop going to feel like? Or will it be faster because it is core duo?

Is that a 2.4Ghz Pentium 4? That is what I am guessing at least. The GHZ rating doesn't really mean much anymore. The 1.66Mhz Core Duo x 1.85 (amount of work per clock cycle vs P-4) = equivelant to a 3.07Ghz Pentium 4.

So really it won't be slower. :p
