Hello, I was just wondering if anybody here knows when intel is going to enact their new price cuts and if these cuts would extend to the single-core Pentium 4 6xx series.

I don't think it will be until a while from now and if they do it is not going to be a big cut maybe 25-50 dollers

I would guess that near the end of the summer they will drop their prices a bit. I'd bet that the prices of the P4 processors will drop really low once Conroe comes out, since there are a lot of them on shelves and they won't move once Core 2 Duo comes out.

25-50 dollars??? Not even close, some cpus will go down by several hundred dollars, like londez said 60% or so.

Intel is getting desperate to get rid of their stockpiles of Pentium 4's. They might have to give them away soon.
