    Intel T2080 or Turion 64 X 2 TL-52?

    Two budget notebooks which I will have to do clean XP Pro install to use. Same price. Which CPU would you prefer?

    Is the T2080 a dual core, or a core duo? If it's a dual core, it might be worth it going with the Turion.

    I would go with TL-52 it is 64 bit and will come with a better IGP GMA 950 is the worst out there now. They will perform just about the same T2080 faster clock 1.73Ghz but TL-52 will have faster access to RAM and higher bandwidth.

    I'd also take the AMD as it will have a more powerful IGP and the cpus are pretty evenly matched with the AMD perhaps coming out on top.

    Is there any other differences between the two laptops you are looking at besides the CPU and GPU?

    Also post links(or descriptions) of the laptops.
