I have bought a dv6205 pavillion at compusa and it came with core duo t2250 processor even with all the documentation saying it should come with a t2060 cpu. It also came with ddr2 pc5300 667Mhz memory.
I am trying to upgrade the memory but I am searching on the internet and found that every notebook that uses that processor uses pc4200 533 Mhz memory. does anyone knows what memory should I use? HP recomends pc5300 but in all their literature they say that this notebook comes with the t2060 processor and not the t2250, so I think their information is either wrong or incomplete.

Looks like you got deal there - the T2060 has got only 1MB cache but the T2250 has 2MB and runs at a slightly faster clock speed.

If the notebook came with DDR2 667MHz RAM then I would suggest that you get more of the same. Manufacturers frequently update the hardware within the lifetime of individual models and fail to update their websites accordingly. Or maybe the sales part gets updated but not the technical support area.
