is there a big difference between 2.0ghz and 2.2ghz processor?
worth 100$s extra for the jump?

Other than clockspeed, there is no difference between the chips. So is $100 worth about a 10% increase? Considering that most applications do not use all the power offered in current processors anyway, an extra 200MHz is not going to really make a difference.

I'd take that $100 and invest in other parts like more RAM or a faster hard drive, or even a warranty. That will result in more performance gains than the T7500 would.

some more opinions on the initial question would be great. but now i have another question also.

    is their a big difference between a 5400rpm and a 7200rpm harddrive?

Only if you have upgraded all other parts, and have some extra cash lying around.

I would go with T7300 and the rest of your money to upgrade from 5400 to 7200rpm HDD :p

If you're planning on editing videos and such, the t7500 is worth the extra $100, otherwise it's not.
