    Hello,

Does anyone know where I can buy a T7800? Newegg and Zipzoomfly don't have them listed (nor do they have the extreme chips :( ), but I know they are available because you can get them in the macbook pro for example. Am I not looking in the right places?

    Thank you!

Well don't I feel like an idiot... I've never used 'google products' before. I did regular google searches and only came up with information about the processor or listings for it as a part of other prebuilt systems.

From what I've read, it seems to be up in the air as to whether the current santa rosa boards will support the Penryn chips. I've read things that go both ways, so it seems a bit risky.

Where can you get the X7900 that might be a more reasonable choice.

Even if you wait and find out you can't use the Penryn processors, the T7800 is only going to go down in price...

My researching uncovered this site: http://killernotebooks.com/executioner_sr/executionersr_order_page.html They have benchmarks of their Clevo M570RU based system running the x7800 and the T9500 Penryn chip. I'm assuming that this means they are running it on the same board (I'm assuming it is the current santa rosa one). What are others opinions?
