I am considering buying Dell Inspiron 13 with Intel GMA X3100 graphics card.
I have a Dell S2009W widescreen display with max res of 1600x900. Apparently not the most standard display format b/c it won't work with a very old laptop I have.
Can anyone tell me for sure if Intel GMA X3100 will support the 1600x900 format at 60Hz? The Intel 316273.PDF documentation mentions a much higher max resolution but does not list all supported resolutions.
I ask because:
one person at Dell said it would work
another person at Dell said it would not work and I would need a different video card.

Thanks so much!

Thanks much. VERY helpful. I will try it and if I have problems I will report back to this forum. No further posts by me means the Dell Insp 13 with Intel GMA X3100 worked fine with said 1600x900 monitor.
Intel X3100 GMA (on Dell Inspiron 13) support 1600x900?
