I recently purchased the Viliv X70 MID. And was wondering if Inel atom processors are interchangeable; can I upgrade the Intel atom Z520 into a Z540?

By the way, the computer works perfectly, took some time to get new drivers for the GMA 500; then finding decent codecs for processing videos more cleanly.

But it still could use some processing power to handle hi-definition video streaming through a web-browser. Since youcan't ask the GPU to help.

Atom processors are normally soldered to the motherboard, so unless you can get a motherboard that will fit you netbook case you are stuck with it.

You can do it if you have advanced soldering equipments. I remember someone who swapeed his CPU although it was soldered to the motherboard.
