    This is just speculation but was wondering if you guys think that mobile i7 cores will be ready by next year's summer for back to school....
    I dont think I could buy a new laptop next summer knowing i7 will be coming out....

    Well it wasn't the CPUs that were delayed but the other components of the chipset. The Penryn die shrinks came out on time in early 08.

    The Centrino platform based on Nehalem will be named Calpella.

    Calpella is now slated for Late 09/Early 2010.
