    Hi guys,
I've found a notebook with an AMD processor however have no idea how they compare to Intel's processors.
I just want to know which would give 'faster' performance in general e.g loading up time, office work and gaming.

Intel T7100 vs Intel T7300 vs AMD TL-56

Obviously I know that the t7300 is better than the t7100 however how does this AMD processor compare to both of them?

The difference in load times is largely determined by the hard disk. The processor only does calculations, and it has a very small impact on load times. For normal office work, such as word processing and surfing the Internet, all three processors will perform the same. Only in processor dependant tasks will you see a difference. The T7100 will perform slighly faster than the TL-56, but in some other applications, the difference is so small, you may aswell say the T7100 and TL-56 perform the same. The T7300 is the fastest of the pack, and it is recommended, because it has the best price to performance ratio. How much is the difference between the two slower processor and the T7300?

So the TL-56 is slightly below the t7100, oh. I want a laptop to last at least 3yrs no problem you see. I know other factors like RAM come in to it but would a TL-56 be fine?

A TL-56 should be perfectly suited for office applications. Infact, any modern dual core processor is up to the task, as office work doesn't require any real processor power. Spening more money on a faster hard disk, and/or more RAM will increase system speed a fair bit.

I agree with Zero, but the intel chips give far superior performance across the benchmarks so go for the T7300 if that is what you desire. A good deal should not be passed up though so keep that in mind.
