maybe just maybe we will see a rise in Laptop products from intel? 6-8 core cpus? lol im just dreaming..

The decline in desktop PC sales is beginning to ripple throughout the industry, as Intel has revealed plans to wind down its desktop motherboard division over the next three years. According to AnandTech , the company will release boards that are based on the Haswell architecture before completely suspending development.

I don't see how this is surprising at all, Intel motherboards have always been 2nd tier motherboards, and with the ever shrinking custom desktop market, and big names in the market, I'm surprised Intel took this long to fold.
