Ok, I have an Alienware M9700 with an N- TURION 64 2.44hx 35 WATT ML-37 processor. I am looking into getting a new machine. Now they only offer an Intel Chip. So which is better? Do I stay with my old AMD or is the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7400 2.16GHz 4MB Cache 667MHz a better and faster processor. I wish I could find a comparison on the two chips, showing a side by side comparison. So any help would be helpful. My confusion comes from the Hz. The AMD is higher at 2.44 but the Intel is 2.16.
    Thanks for any help RC

Yep! The newest Processors wins by a gazillion, you might want to get that instead, shouldn't cost much more.

You should check out Lithus's uber CPU guide :D It'll answer all your questions.

The ML-37 is also single core, so the T7400 would eat it alive in most benchmarks........

The ML-37 is 2.0GHz. The 2.4GHz versions are the ML-42 and ML-44. Which one is it?

Yes, true. Also there is no 2.44Ghz Turion.

But yes, the Core 2 Duo T7400 will anihilate the Turion.

I beg to differ. Their is a 2.44Ghz Turon. It is in the machine. It was recently upgraded by Alienware. I was just a bit confused on the core duo. It states it was a duel core So I guess I am going with the Intel Chipset. Thanks RC
