I ordered a Sager NP5797 with the "Intel Q9000 45nm Montevina C" 2.0GHZ quad core cpu. I have 4 gigs of ram and the nvidia gtx 280m gpu. Will a 2.0ghz quad core be able to run games like COD 4, what about crysis? I know a lot of games don't have quad core support, but don't the other two cores take over windows tasks while 2 take over the game?

Also is there any overclocking potential with this cpu? I don't know a lot about overclocking notebooks as I've never owned one before. The laptop should be here by the end of the week (I hope :D).

I went quad core because I foresee it being advantageous in the future.

Edit: I ordered Vista 64bit ultimate

it will run games fine, specially the 4 threaded ones but most games still run better on dual cores as those are still the standard these days.

Futurewise it makes sense getting a quad since virtually everything made now is being made with multitthread in mind.

err yes it will ... but you won't overclock as good on battery as you would on AC
