Complex is slower and more prone to failure. Simple is generally faster and more reliable. Why 'invest' in a complex caching scheme when it's far easier to drop an SSD in place of a rotating conventional HDD? -
None of the 5 series Intel chipsets are getting Braidwood.
Mobile versions of X58 and *5* won't be getting it either so by 2011 SSDs will have dropped in price to the point that yet again, like with Turbo Memory, it will be too late.
