Disclaimer: I am well aware that what I may say below could very well be incorrect, that is why I am asking.
Now I have read a few articles about Intel's new Santa Rosa chipset, that it will support DirX 10, 802.11n, and will also have Intel's 3rd generation centrino processor. I have been wanting a new computer for a while now, and almost decided to get the Asus A8jp from new egg, but have no pressing need to get one anytime soon. After reading some of the articles on this Santa Rosa chipset I began to second guess myself and I am not sure if I should wait for this chip set. I want to know some more info on Santa Rosa and if it is something worth waiting for and if it will really make that big of a difference in future notebook computers. Any help or information would be appreciated

Adding a question about Santa Rosa (Centrino Pro). Is Robson (flash cache on motherboard) an integral part of Centrino Pro? Does Robson require Centrino Pro, or does Centrino Pro require Robson?
Googling has left me confused. -
If you don't need one now, then waiting for Santa Rosa to debut is a very wise choice. It offers alot of new technologies, and will be the standard for awhile. With the advent of DX10, it is definitely smart to wait and get a Dx10 GPU installed when you buy.
