I've been fiddling inside my ASUS 24" ET2411 all-in-one PC and I'm little baffled by the 6 pins the connector has. I know it is not specifically Notebook related, but I've noticed other Asus laptops use the same 6 pins.

Windows Device Manager says the camera is USB... Does anyone know about internal webcams that can explain what the go is?

There is only one USB2.0 bus on that ASUS and it is on the eSATA/USB 2.0 hybrid. I am guessing that the camera is on the USB 3.0 bus but it is a 2.0 camera. The other two pins are just no connects.

That or Asus used a 6-pin connector and just didn't use 2 of the pins, it could be as simple as buying the 6-pin connectors in large quantities was cheaper than having a stock of both 4-pin and 6-pin connectors.
