Can someone explain to me what RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 2 (if there is one), and Serial ATA mean please?
I'm a noob for the most part when it comes to hardware.

Not much of this should matter in a notebook. RAID refers to different types of data redundancy on multiple drives, more or less. And SATA is a type of drive connection. Perhaps if you provide more context we could help you better.

Laptop size is very small and doesn't expect to put 2 or more HD inside. RAID function is only used in desktop for workstation and server which are required to support fault tolerance such as mirror(RAID 1) and a OS, data backup(RAID 0+1 and 5 and up) and so on. RAID is not mainly for laptop, we will not discuss much about this.

Haha ok thanks. I'll just ignore it then, I'm not planning on buying some massive 4k notebook that has two drives.
-
Iter, that's not actually true. There are a few notebooks that support two drives and various RAID configs.

Yeah. Just check the chapter 'huge desktop replacements'

oh! yeah, Brian, thanks to mention me about this. he he~~
