Trying to interpret my sensors on HW.

I am little confused about the meaning of some of the sensors, hoping someone can clarify.

    Core #0 thread # 0

    Core #0 thread #1

    "etc"

Correct me if I am wrong but core 0 and thread 0 is referring to the usage of the cores, while core 0 thread 1 is referring to usage of the threads?

Next question: What is the difference between max CPU/thread usage and total CPU usage? I am especially confused about this. I assume max CPU/thread usage tells what percent of the thread/core is being used but how does this relate to total CPU usage. For example, I have a game, that when running it takes up 78% of max CPU/thread usage but only 36% of total CPU usage, how can this be?

Your Core i7-4700MQ has 4 cores, but has 8 threads with HyperThreading, 2 threads for each core. So Core #0/thread #0 and Core#0/thread#1 are the 2 threads for the first listed core.

For your second question: I'm guessing "max CPU/thread usage" is the % usage of an individual core/thread while "total CPU usage" is the % usage of ALL your cores/threads; which is why the core/thread usage has a higher % than the total % usage.
