My Dell E1505 states that my T5300 runs about 75F and 80F per core at idle with the fans on full. Core Temp states that my CPU is running at 104F and 109F. It seems that there is a 29 F offset between the two programs.
Which one should I trust?
When I feel the air coming out of the vent it is not hot at all, so I think that FAN GUI is correct.
My reasoning is that when I run Burnmax, Core Temp states that each core runs in the mid 150's, while FAN GUI states that the temps are around 125-130.
While running burnmax, the air coming out of the vent does not fell 150F, it feels much cooler.
Which program should I trust? or is there a better program?

On my Voodoo laptop the temperature offset is opposite, in which Voodoo installs GET THERMAL, which reads the CPU temp via an internal probe.
In this case, Get Thermal reads the CPU is at 35C, my fans are on full
while Core Temp reads Core 0 as 26C and Core 1 as 23C.
I trust Get Thermal anyday over Core Temp, as Get Thermal is specifically designed for the D900 series Clevo chassis.
I have come to believe that Core Temp is a crap program.

A thermal Probe reads on top of the of the CPU which will obviously be warmer due to the heat from other components. CoreTemp reads the internals of the CPU which will be more accurate. Your assumption is wrong

The Opteron in my laptop is physically separated from the rest of the components, as the processor is located on the corner of the motherboard under the 2lb copper heatsink.
I feel that Get Thermal is definitely correct, I dont see how the internal temps could possibly be lower as it is contained in a metal housing.
Maybe I'm wrong but if anyone knows, opinions are welcome.
