Hello all...I'm buying laptop and still have to make a final choice between 4 models...the main difference is graphic card. This is what we have:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570
ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330
Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT
Intel X4500MHD
I tried to list them from best to worst.
There will be no gaming, I will use photoshop every now and then, watch a movie every now and then. Can Intel 4500 handle that, and how big the difference is compared to other listed models?

the short answer is yes it will be fine for shat you are doing. its an okay Graphics set up.
-
the other's are a lot faster for gaming, but your not gaming so the intel 4500 will be fine. you will get MUCH better battery life out of the intel two.

Unless the things you're doing in Photoshop are accelerated by the graphics card (I don't think many are), you will notice no difference at all.

yes. I even game with mine a little and it's fine (Tiger Woods online)

I'm guessing then i should take Intel 4500 and go for a better proccesor...thank you very much then guys...

The Intel GMA 4500mhd also accelerated H.264, so no reason why you should not buy it.
Also saves you some cash (and battery life) so you can get a better cpu for Photoshop. xD -
The thing about the Intel IGP is that they don't have bitstream processors, so you can't use DXVA in Media Player Classic Homecinema (or SMPlayer, or anything else).
You have to use Cyberlink PowerDVD. -

Or just wait for new Arrandale models.

i would wait for the arrandale models... just 1-2 months.. offers way better performance than 4500MHD...
-
i kinda need it by 1st of February, otherwise i would...thank you again guys...
Is Intel 4500 enough?
