I researched a lil bout my pentium 4 and i was wondering if its better than AMD athlon 64. most of the reviews said that athlon 64 is better for gaming while pentium 4 is better for performance. some people had problems with their athlon 64 that it gets overheated a lot and they have to restart their computer more often that their pentium 4. well i wanna see wht u guys say!
my pentium 4 is an awesome processor i got even tho it is an old processor with only 1gb ddr ram, it still runs perfectly and its core speed is 2.66ghz. i have had no problems and this is an IBM netvista personal computer im talkin bout rite now. even tho i hate its on board 64mb graphix its still an awesome processor and motherboard and my games still run at 30fps.
    What do you think?

There are many generations of Pentium 4s out there and many generations of Athlon 64s as well. A more recent 64 will kill an old P4 and a newer P4 will outperform an older 64. What chips in particular are we comparing?
