    Hi all,

    I am considering an upgrade to my notebook's RAM. I keep finding Kingmax 200pin SO-Dimms to be consistently half the price of other notebook RAM. I am interested in the 1Gb PC-2700 DDR333 - however I am warey of the old addage; "you get what you paid for..."

    Anyone with any info on this memory manufacturer - any experiences good or bad?

    Thanks.

    Aspiring fan :)

    I have that same type and have no problems whatsoever. The performance increase from 512mb to 1GB is tremendous in games.

    * Inspiron 8600c * 1.8ghz Pentium M * 128 MB Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo * 2x512 MB DDR2700 SDRAM * 60GB 7200RPM HDD *

    the 8600c was available with dothan processors (pentium M's with 2mb L2 cache), and did not come with the trackpoint, or serial or parallel ports.
