My almost new Dv2617us pavilion notebook(Centrino Duo 1.5 ghz, 2 GB ram) computer is sitting idle and the temperatures for the cores are 47C and 43C according to HWMonitor. The fan noise is tolerable, but seems to never stop. and can get very annoying when I'm studying or reading. Is there a problem with my computer?

    -Running on latest BIOS
-My computer is still under HP's "one year warranty", will I have to pay for the repair if i send it in?

..just a thought. Control/alt/delete and bring up Task Manager. Click on performance tab..is the CPU really idle at 2 to 6% or spiking? You may have something that's keeping your fan constant and one core seems to be a bit busy.
