Is a FHD panel upgrade compatible with my model & display connector?

I have an hp dv6t-7000 quad edition, with specs found in my signature. I have an HD4000 iGPU and GT650M dGPU. I'm thinking about upgrading to a 1080p panel instead of the rather poor 1366 by 768 panel I currently have. However, I know there might be some compatability issues regarding the display cable as 1080p is a higher resolution. This is the exact display panel connector I have:

(My previous one failed on me so I replaced it with that exact one.)

I was looking for replacement screens and found some from this site: http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/HP-Compaq/PAVILION~DV6T-7000~QUAD~EDITION/

First of all, is this site reputable/good/trustworthy? Also, will the 1080p panels be compatible with my display cable connector and laptop? If not for either of these questions, what other websites should I try and search for and/or is there a connector that will certainly work for my laptop? I know that my model came with a FHD option, so the motherboard should support it, but it cost 150$ to upgrade which I did not have at the time. I am concerned, however, whether the gpu will have any error with the higher display, as I've heard can happen. However, a 1080p display was one of the options on HP's website when I purchased this model. I also have a picture of the barcode and model number of my panel that I took while replacing its connector if it helps in determining compatibility.

Also, is there any major difference in screen quality between the glossy and matte versions? (Strictly quality, not the actual glare vs. non-glare.)

    Thanks!

Go to HP site, look for your laptop model in the support pages and downloadable manuals. Choose the Service and Maintenance guide.

In that guide are the part numbers for both SD and HD cables. Then take apart your laptop and inspect the part number of your current cable. If it's SD, order the HD one...
If you are lucky there is only one cable listed (and then it fits all panels, yay). Most of the time there is two cables to choose from tho.
