I just ordered a new hard drive for my acer aspire 5520 notebook. Then I noticed that the hard drive I ordered is SATA 300, whereas my previous HD is sata II. Will my notebook be able to read from the hard drive?

    The drive I purchased is:

    Toshiba MK1637GSX - SATA-300

    My original HD is:

Toshiba MK1637GSX - Serial ATA II and ATA7 compliant.

I still have time to cancel the order, and my credit card hasn't been charged yet.

Doesn't SATA stand for "Serial ATA"?
