I got this Laptop off of Ebay, Does anyone know of ANY laptops that have no active cooling on the chipset?

Here is a pic of it with the bottom part of the case removed:

Maybe we could solve this by AMD documentation on the IC
I should have written down the chipset part no. I thought the picture would be clear enough my cell camera was in macro mode.
Link to lshw command results from Ubuntu
I really don't want to re-open it, it seems to be running fine, but the fan starts running pretty hard whenever I do huge Disk I/O.

EDIT: Could this be a "FCH USB XHCI" usb controller? I was transfering the files from a usb connected hard drive. Perhaps the chipset is actually on the A8-5545M APU?? I will update soon

If you take a look at how both recent AMD and Intel CPUs work, the traditional northbridge/southbridge don't really apply like they used to. The memory controller and a few other things like graphics PCI-E interface are now on the CPU die and there is another chip that takes on the functions of both southbridge and northbridge that the CPU doesn't handle. These chips do not necessarily have a high TDP and sometimes they don't need any kind of active cooling.

Back in the core 2 days, the southbridge definitely didn't need cooling for Intel CPUs and I've seen some recent notebooks where the PCH (Intel CPUs) didn't have any kind of active cooling and it was doing just fine. Heck, my M6700 was missing a thermal pad for the PCH and it was performing as well as it is now with the thermal pad on the PCH.

The fan kept running at full speed, I was still troubleshooting the issue but recently it has gotten even worse now it is making a buzzing noise.

I'm going to try this fix but with 1 drop of sewing machine oil instead of what he used
