I've looked at Newegg.com and Sparepartswarehouse.com and have not been able to find what I'm looking for....a Turion II Ultra M660 CPU to be exact.

You might actually have better luck looking on eBay. That's where I found a suitable laptop CPU when I was looking to upgrade.

You won't find those at retail. eBay is about the only place I can think of, though I HATE eBay.

    eBay is your best shot.

Mobile CPU's are very rarely packaged and sold as individual retail or OEM packaged units. Your best shot of getting your hands on one is to find someone who has a CPU that was pulled from a dead laptop and was stripped for parts. And you are most likely going to find that kind of place on eBay.

+1 for eBay! I love eBay, I buy and sell there all the time. I found a Celeron Dual core e1200 for $15. Works great.

you over paid! meh on ebay, i use it from time to time, but very rarely do you find any deals anymore, most people are trying to make a profit so everyone ends up supplying each other its kind of funny to see someone buy soemthing then rel-list it like 15 mins later for 30% more..

I really dislike ebay, but If there really isn't much of a choice otherwise I guess I'll look there.

Sometimes shopping on eBay (or the internet in general) is less about finding a good deal, and more about finding a rare specialty item that isn't available for you to buy from anywhere else.

That was the original purpose of eBay - a marketplace for rare and collectible items. And I would definitely consider this AMD notebook CPU to be a rare item, since you cannot easily find it anywhere else.

Well after looking at Ebay's computer offerings for the past hour no one is currently selling the CPU I'm looking for, they seem to carry nothing the Turion II Ultra M640, but not the 660. I'll just have to keep checking back from time to time. Thanks for the suggestion guys. if anyone thinks of any site that may also be of use please let me know.
