This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Is firewire a big difference?

    I went to the store today to get a portable hard drive, and the only one they had was the toshiba 250gb. its usb 2.0. is this a good hard drive? and also i noticed that my laptop does have the port for firewire so if i got a hdd that could use firewire would it be a lot faster?

    please give me some suggestions so i can decide whether or not to keep this drive. thanks guys.
