I am thinking to buy a new laptop for gaming and other stuff.
Dell XPS1530 seems good however it has been released for a period of time already.
Also there is GeForce 9X series for the desktop display card now.
So I would like to ask, is there any new hardware like CPU or display card for laptop of new generation which the performance will be highly increased but the increase in price is not that much in ratio, or even if they will be expensive they would lower the price for the current hardware a lot, will be coming out within a few months or a year?
Thanks a lot.

Prices are low - or discounts - right now are out because new models are right around the corner. Intel's got some new chips on the way. "Highly increased"? Probably more like a "marginal increase" as usual on a yearly basis.

Here is the best way to put it

I know the technology is always in development, but it takes time for example the cycle is every few months or years, and there is some time that is a bit better. Also, I think the hardware changes for notebook is a lot less than those for desktop. I need it but I can wait a bit if there is something new not long later, e.g. Geforce 9x series mobile version, so I am asking this.
Btw, I am interested in detailed answer of this post http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=246179 regarding the hd cap, speed, heat and noise, and hd life.
Thanks. -
im holding out till this summer since i dont really need a laptop now. So i just wait and see how or if prices go down and what new technology is comming but if i would have needed a laptop now i would buy one right away even if there would soem kind of uber processors comming in 3 months. Since with notebooks/pc there always is something better right after you bought something .
Is it a good time to buy a new laptop? Any new generation of hardward coming out soon?
